Power window message - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Anyone else having problems with there power windows. I keep getting the message in my info center to roll up and down my window and it does it for both sides. Then I have to reset the automatic up feature. It says thhis should only happen if the vehicle looses power but mine has not.

Had it happen a couple times. Took a couple fresh starts and finally went away after following instructions on the DIC.

On page 5-39 in your owner's manual it states:

Window Messages

OPEN, THEN CLOSE DRIVER
WINDOW

This message is displayed when the window needs to be reprogrammed. If the vehicle's battery has been recharged or disconnected, you will need to reprogram each front window for the express-up feature to work.

OPEN, THEN CLOSE
PASSENGER WINDOW

This message is displayed when the window needs to be reprogrammed. If the vehicle's battery has been recharged or disconnected, you will need to reprogram each front window for the express-up feature to work.

If this happened without the battery being recharged or disconnected, you may want to contact your dealership for more assistance.

Yes it happens without the battery being disconnected. It happens at least 2-3 times a week. Guess I will bring it in.
