Best cold air intake for stock zl1?

I'm looking for sound and power what's the best in the market?
I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find someone else who asked this.

Rotofab seems like the choice of most folks but dont look for anymore power without a tune... You will hear the blower whine more with this unit.

Roto-fab is the only way to go IMO, I just installed mine and the design, quality and workmanship are on par with OEM parts. If the logo wasn't printed on it I dont think CA cops would know it's not OEM.

Sound is amazing, zero CEL codes, and I do believe I've got a power increase with no tune. My tires break loose in 2nd when fully warm (CA summer heat) much easier than they did before, could be my imagination or time for new tires.

No CAI is going to give you HP w/o a tune. Once you tune, your power train warranty is most likely toast.

Rotofab...did it for overall look and finish and sound primarily. Whatever margin HP gain is a bonus but wasn't my prime reason for changing out stock air box.

There is no best. They all function about the same. Absent a tune, not necessary with a standard sized CAI (your engine is only going to adjust to so much airflow), there is not much difference.

I did the rotofab just cause I felt it looks “proper” in the engine bay.

Bonus is it’s a quality item with perfect fit and finish, extra bonus for a bit more whine

Does the AFE change the sound of the SC? Seems like it's sealed up almost as much or equal to the OEM airbox.

Thanks for the support everyone!

The Roto-fab system has the most 3rd party testing and validation by far. It is also the go-to CAI for high performance shops such as Lingenfelter, Hennessey, Jannetty, Vengeance, JDP, and many more! These guys do their homework, and continue to choose Roto-fab for the outstanding performance, superior quality, and customer service that is second to none.

Below are a few dyno sheets and customer testimonials for our 2017+ ZL1 cold air intake. If you have any photos, reviews, or questions about this system, feel free to share!

Customer Testimonials:

Dave
"I did an independent test Wednesday on the Rotofab intake on my 2017 ZL1 A10.
Stock was 555hp 536tq, changed intake
and made 2 more pulls. 580hp 548tq.
25hp gain. No tune or anything else."

Jeffery

"Couldn't be happier with the purchase of my RotoFab CAI. Easy installation and love the increased SC whine and the seemingly improved throttle responsiveness."

Thomas
'Do you want to actually hear the supercharger whine as it pulls in alot more air than that little factory air intake? This does the trick. Easy to install with excellent instructions. Fits great and seals to hood when closed."

Gilgamesh

"Much louder and more responsive."

Kermit ZL1
"Simply put:
Would I buy this product again? Absolutely
Would I recommend it? In a heart beat
Would I re-buy a carbon fiber version? Shut up and take my money!"

+1 on the green filter.

I went a step further and had my stock intake lid skinned in carbon fiber.

Green filter + carbon fiber skinning equals roughly the cost of a Roto-Fab CAI. And it doesn't require rescaling the MAF table for optimum performance.

That carbon fiber looks nice! Just to clarify, our CAI does not need a tune for optimum performance. We have actually heard from some reputable tuners that they do not see any gain when tuning to our system on an otherwise stock vehicle because our system was engineered to perform well on the factory calibration.

However at higher power levels there is a substantial gain to be had by tuning with our CAI.

Everybody says there is zero gain without tune on your intake, but my ZLE seems to have a noticeable bump measured by the increased 2nd gear wheelspin I've had since my RF dry install.
