Let's hope he is right! Hopefully nothing crazy like ripping the damn transmission apart, already had that once, and hopefully a solid fix! I really want to keep this car for another 3 years or so until the new gen comes out (hopefully there will be a 7th gen), but if there is no solid fix the car can't be relied on. I do a bunch of road trips on the mountains, I certainly don't want the car crapping out on me a few thousand feet in the area! lol.

I am leaning towards reprogramming. I don't see anything else that will fix the problem. I have already decided if they come at us with some dumb shit I am going aftermarket with the torque converter.

Learned a lot about GM I didn't know yesterday. Did not know the following: they have a woman running things now, not an issue, she is very customer oriented supposedly. When y'all go to buy tires, your local dealer HAS to price match anyone other than big box stores. GM is trying to put quick oil change places out of business with oil change prices on regular passenger vehicles, excluding HP vehicles and diesels. There is some other stuff but it escapes me right now.

Well at least that's good to know, thanks! At this rate I'll just have to let her go at 40K so I can tell the next owner there's still drive train warranty.

2017 Camaro TC Shudder issue

Im so mad right now! I took my car in about 3 weeks ago and they did the flush. Took it in yesterday because the flush did not fix it. Was supposed to have the tc replaced, the dealer said they would have my car for three days so they put me in a loaner. Today they called me to inform me that the fix for the issue will not be available until the first quarter of 2019. I'm fixing to tell them that the loaner I'm in won't be back until the first quarter of 2019.

Thought I dodged the bullet too, but mine just started on Sunday. Had been noticing jerky performance but no shudder, but man it is like someone flipped a switch and now it is terrible. Totally kills an otherwise fine driving experience. Taking it in on Thursday. 11k miles. 😒

Just a note. We solved this issue on some of our Performance Builds, by flushing out the GM installed fluid and using a new aftermarket stall converter. All good thus far with over 10,000 miles.

@ Stefano,
But if you replace the converter for an after market one, you have to pay the costs yourself, but it is a warranty issue so i expect a solution by GM.

They were performance builds/tuned cars, GM would not warranty the transmission issues.

What converter did you go with on the builds? Seems like I'm starting to have the issue at about 26k miles.

Yes it's released and the general consensus on the Vette and this forum is that it works. Haven't heard of any shudders returning. I'm getting mine done tomorrow *FINGERS CROSSED*
