Still have my 5th gen but if someone wants to let me check out their 6th maybe I'll get one.....

Yeah since it is still hard to find them in San Diego the dealers down here are pretty much selling them for MSRP no markups like what Dodge is doing. I had to wait over a week for my car and I had to settle on a black one because they were not quick enough to contact a dealer for a trade and when they did the one I wanted was already sold.

Kearny Mesa here. I bought mine from JJ in SD 1st week of Jan. My second Camaro from them. They were pretty straight up with the pricing right at MSRP. They gave me 2k under MSRP but that was due to a GM military discount. They hooked that up because the gen 6 doesn't qualify under GM terms so I wasn't going to argue with that. All in all they're good guys just don't expect heavy discounts under MSRP at least until the gen 6 has been out longer.

I'm glad you were able to get something off. Maybe it's because it was the first week of Jan and it was diff than, but a lady who was helping me through my CU said that "My guy said that GM wasn't doing the college discount right now." which I found out is BS by just checking the GM websites. The dealers can choose to opt out. I think the reason why they choose to do this, is because GM limits some of the fees that they can charge. It's the same with the military discount... But I digress you can get workbench invoice on these cars right now if the dealer actually wants to sell the car. Just read all of the member's stories. It just seems like all of the dealers in SoCal are more interested in having them sit on the lots.

I ordered the car on 1/3/16 from JJ Chevy. I hit 4800 status last week. Hopefully I will get it this week. I ordered a Red Hot 2SS with adrenaline red interior, red interior trim kit , black ground effects bow ties and rally stripes with the blade spoiler, black wheels with SS center caps. No NPP or Mag ride since I plan on getting shorty headers and a new cat back as well as lowering the car too.

I am working with Kewan at JJ and I don't have to worry about negotiating the price since I get supplier pricing through my work.

Has anyone on here thought about doing a clear bra for their car? I have been shopping around and was hoping to get some insight into reputable installers who don't charge an arm and a leg. So far I have checked into Lux Auto Spa in downtown SD who were the cheapest option. Protective Film Solutions and Auto Amour wanted an arm and a leg.

I was looking to Xpel but the Lux Auto Spa guy convinced me to get Suntek for clarity and less orange peel.

I ordered a 16 2SS thru Jimmie Johnson. I'm expecting it to arrive this week hopefully. I've only seen one other 16 in person around SD not at the dealer... Could have been Phidelt59 on Coronado!!
