JB weld on Radiator leak?

Got a very tine puncture just in front of the fan blades. Easy to get to. I have heard jb weld is a great little fix for small punctures. it cause a tiny very slow leak. Has anyone tried this. Does it work

I plan on it, just looking for temp fix to get it to the local shop here. I hate messing with cooling or i would do it myself. Replacing the radiator in this car is pain in the a$$

In have used jb weld to fix a pin hole leak on a radiator. It worked well. Lower the coolant level below the leak and Clean the area before dabbing it on there.

Ok, thanks, Just got back from autozone with jb steel weld. says holds up to 4500 psi, think this should work against 21psi in radiator.

should work fine. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and try to crimp it down around the leaking spot but be careful not to make more holes. It helps reduce pressure on that spot helping the epoxy do its job. Also it well before the epoxy, antifreeze leaves a film that it wont stick to at all.

I put a hole in my radiator changing my lower balancer and pulley! I think it happened when I had to put that friggin stretch belt on! But I used JB Weld on it and have put a couple thousand miles on it and probably 20 runs down the drag strip! no problems! I put it on generously to say the least! That stuff works well! Buddy of mine fixed a pin home in his oil pan on a 600HP big block and it held for 10 years...

+1 This. Order a radiator at your local shop. Keep the coolant topped with distilled water - 97cents a gallon, it won't hurt til the part comes in, and then have'em put in a the new rad.

I ended up using aluminum zinc rods and torch to weld it shut. Holds up to 21000 psi. Then just added reassurance put jbweld over it to insure It holds. Added coolant and seems to be holding fine. The whole was so tiny I had to use magnifying glass in the damaged area to see it. Thanks for the comments to give me more confidence on this.
