When I replaced one a while back on my 2015 Silverado I didn’t get the pipe, and no issues. But I read you should change it out. Is the lt4 pipe bigger than the lt1? Or is it the same ??

It’s the same mid pipe in the Lt1 and Lt4 it’s saying to replace it due to the thin seal inside the ball fitting it may get damaged on removal from the combination of engine heat and pressure that I may unusable. From the technician service manual.
