You don't see any of the windscreen
You either don't have to wear readers or you wear progressive glasses and it's not a problem! I have an Acadia with a RVC and while I like the wider and unobstructed view with it, I can't see it clearly without having to tilt my head up to look through the bifocals at the bottom of my sunglasses. With the "mirror" view you're actually looking at something far away and don't need the focal length whereas the camera view is a "picture" that requires your eyes to focus on the picture.
This winter I drove MI-FL-MI in the Acadia, packed to the headliner with stuff, so the RVC was really worth it even though it's a bit more cumbersome for me to see stuff in it!

Well after using the windscreen I believe its not worth the money. Probably only worth $175 vs $450. With the windows rolled down there is very little difference in turbulence. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 5.

May I say, and I mean this sincerely, that I am sorry that that has been your experience. Also a little surprised.

In early December 2021 I had driven a rented 2SS from Miami to Key West and back, and agreed, the turbulence w/o the screen really wasn't that bad.

In late January 2022 I bought my current 2SS and, soon afterwards, sprung for the windscreen after reading positive reviews here. Felt like night and day, and that's even at low speeds. Even the girlfriend agreed... :-0

(You may have been able to get it for under $400 BTW, but I suspect that there will be willing takers on this site if you can agree on price.)

Take your favorite gal with long hair (or your best bud with a mullet) out for a top-down drive and see if they agree after their hair is blowing forward into their face without the screen! Then put it up and see the difference!

I couldn't agree more. With the windows and windscreen up when the top is down, other than the full sun exposure, you lose the effect of having a convertible.

Will the windscreen fold up and fit in the trunk of a vert? If so how does it fit into the trunk?

Yes. It folds down flat then folds in half to go into a carry bag. It will not only fit in the trunk, but can actually lay UNDER the folded down top as well.

I'd never drive with the windows up while the top is down. To be honest, i rarely have the windows up even while the top is up.

I've had the windscreen since my 2017 and have always optioned the car with them.
Mostly, I just like the way it looks. Gen6 Camaro had been designed for minimal air and sound noise so even without the windscreen, conversation and stereo sounds are easily audible. That said, I do not drive much on the highway, so I'm sure the windscreen would make a difference at longer highway speeds duration.

There's a fairly significant difference in the amount of cabin noise from air movement once you get on the highway compared to around town. At speeds up to around 40-45, you can drive without the windscreen and it isn't a major difference. Once you hit highway speeds, though, that changes as the difference is much greater. Simplest thing to do is drive around with it down and then reach back and pull it into the upright position while maintaining your speed.

With regard to windows up versus down, try it both ways. Windows up, windscreen up, highway speeds is very different from windows down, windscreen down, or both.

I wear a hat in the car most of the time since I tend to keep my hair fairly short and it's the simplest way of preventing sunburn on my scalp. Windows and windscreen both up provides the least amount of "blowing" of air in the cabin so that the hat stays planted on my head.

To each their own... but I'll never drive around with the windows up with the top down.
I have long hair and my wife wears hats!

And yeah if you're comparing a convertible on the highway with the top down to a fixed roof vehicle...but as compared to other convertibles, Gen6 Camaro Convertibles are hard to beat wrt wind and wind noise.

Enjoy.

I made the mistake of buying an after market windscreen and it does NOT fold in half…therefore it does not fit in the trunk with the top down and passangers. In himdsight, buy the GM one as it folds in half and in half again.

What brand did you buy? mstgeer bought the Aperta windscreen, which only folds once, and he said it fits in the trunk.

I bought the “love the drive” brand…a real rip off IMO compared to the GM model. https://www.ebay.com/itm/182568811363

Mine stays up year-round at I did add red cover to the flat downside to hide the stuff when the tops down. best of both worlds.
