Whipple Phase 2 winter project
So my 17 SS M6 currently sits with the following mods:
620rwhp/595tq (07/2018) Whipple SC, 3.50 pulley LT4 HPFP & Injectors Roto-Fab dry CAI NEP Cat delete pipes (all 4) Borla ATAK full exhaust NPP with mid-pipe resonator (was not retuned after install) Catch can P3 Gauge The mods below I will be installing over the winter, all purchased, not yet all delivered. 18" drag pack (purchased late fall, was not able to get to the track with it) NW 103 TB LT4 Low side pump Kooks 2" LT no cats, jet hot coated Granatelli plug wires with heat sheilds Fresh set of NGK-6509 plugs DSS HD axles Gforce drive shaft PCM of NC Manual Fan Switch I might try and have it tuned with stock TB and then install the NW TB to see the difference in just the NW TB. We shall see how it all shakes out. Also trying to piece together a larger intake tube to replace the whipple supplied rubber tube, any suggestions there? I reached out to Roto-Fab to see if they have a solution. Cant wait to hit the track in the spring and hopefully not smoke the clutch!

Which drag pack did you go with? On the P3 gauge, can you see the % ethanol for your fuel?
I am thinking about adding the P3 to my setup or changing to a different adm gauge so I can see the fuel trim.

Sounds like you will be faster come spring. Keep us updated. I got some stuff planned for my build over the winter as well. I will post up something when I get it figured out.

Awesome, Rob! let us know what you have planned! I hope to knock it out in a weekend in late January with the help of 2 others, i think its doable. A little more HP and a lot more traction.

Also, good luck with the build. I’ll be similar to yours as I’m a manual also but I’m impressed with your mph and et. How have your street tires done so far? |

My friend and I did it, we are both mechanically inclined, he is also a certified mechanic, so we had the proper tools as well. We also did the LT4 HPFP and injectors at the same time. We tore down 1 weekend, about 12 hours, and then did the install the following weekend which was about 16 hours. The only issue we had really was our puller was not long enough to thread into the crank. But other than that it went pretty good. The worst part is putting the front bumper back on.
Make sure to install a LS crank seal GM part # 12585673 while the lower pulley is off.
