I'd throw in some ARP main studs & head bolts.

Headers. From my readings the exhaust manifold and stock cats tend to b a choke point

Stock headers are fine. The primary cat pipes are the choke point.

From which boost / power levels do the Primary CAT pipes pose a serious restriction?

There was a member here that had stock headers with NEP cat deletes running 8psi. It made around 620whp. He went to LTH and gained 19whp. So imo the stock headers with cat deletes are not hurting much for power with most average boost builds. You would likely need to do rods, pistons, and turn the boost up before they pose being a big restriction.

Side note, Laynlo went 10.0 on bone stock exhaust with cats @ 14 psi on race gas. Toohighpsi went 9.9. So the stock exhaust isn't bad up to lets say 700whp, but the cats coming apart are what concern me and I would at least delete the primaries on anything more then 7psi or 550whp.

So all-in-all it seems feasible not to touch the stock exhaust system (even leave the complete CATs array in place), if boost levels do not exceed ~ 8 pounds and ~ 550-580 RWHP?

Yep. But at much more than that you run the risk of nuking the primary cats as mentioned above by others. On my last pass of the year on 8-9 pounds and around ~630 WHP, my datalog said my drivers side cat temp was 1740 degrees...ouch lol.

Yes I believe most manufacturer base supercharger kits come in around 7-8psi and 550whp for a reason...and that reason is because you can bolt one on a bone stock car with no other mods and run it. When you start modding from there it becomes a slippery slope. LT4 fuel system and and exhaust mods(cat delete pipes or headers) should be considered as the next mods. Then Rotofab, bigger throttle body, and smaller pulley last.

ARP head studs

Foes anyone have any ARP Head stud kits?
I need the 234-4343 kit with the M8 corner studs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. That is the only thing holding up a 900hp build getting done
Sincerely Brian
