please help me asap tune issue with overkill

So my car is at the speed shop and has been for 4 days and its racking up the hours at 125 a hour. so got a overkill tune and e85 kit and ported intake manifold and spacer. should have been a 2-3 hour job now its a 8 hour job because the pin up connector/ harness wont fit and we can't find the right one. so if anyone knows about this connector and can help me with this tune please help me. I have emailed will multiple times and have gotten nothing so he's costing me more $$$ having shity customer care.

Shouldn’t the shop be responsible for getting the right connector? I’d simply tell them I’m not paying for your mishaps. You quoted me 2-3 hrs therefore if you couldn’t find right connector? I’m not paying for it to sit it at the shop. Here’s your $375

Agreed, unless OP supplied the parts.

OP - try sharing some pics of the issue, it can only help.

When you supply the parts it’s not on the shop

Chayse,

Attached are the pictures showing the different wire leads. The lead that came with the Overkill harness is not the correct one and will not lock in place. The pinout connector has square leads.

He went to a bunch of places to find it and got one but it still didn't fit.

That's a shame...receiving the wrong part.
Is the shop charging you $125/hr to chase down a conncector?
That just doesn't seem right.

Of course it doesn't seem right, we have next to no information. What connector is OP talking about? Pics don't work.

Before anything, do you remember what came in your kit? It should have came with two new fuel lines, a new flex fuel sensor and a wiring harness which includes a "pin" or "exposed wire". If you don't remember what you got, ask the shop or go there and see what they have. All you need are those few parts; the new fuel lines replace the old ones and the harness connects up to one of the coils, while that exposed pin is placed into one ECM pin slot. If you are missing those parts I can see a problem arising, I just don't see how Will would have sent the wrong harness cause he's been sending them out for years. Did you provide the shop with the instructions? My guess is that they're not connecting it to the right thing or are skipping a step possibly. If it is a mistake on Will's end hopefully he can make things right or at least provide information to get the correct part if that's the case.

Here is the write up I followed for mine. Please read through it and share or email it to the shop so they can follow it. Bring in photos as well. https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=444675

The write up is extremely accurate especially with the color photos. I was able to follow it and do the mod with absolutely no experience, so they should be able to do it no issue assuming they have the right parts. Do not pay the shop for storing the car, but also keep us updated so we can provide further advice if needed.

I don’t have an overkill kit but the dsx one. It should be just about the same and just pop in whether it’s circle or square. I’m now more confused

I can email you guys pics if you guys want to see, the shop is a very good shop and he does a lot of flex fuel, he seems to know what he's talking about. I gave him all the parts and instructions.
