Can't Put Top Down Sometimes

Does anyone experience the dash notification that the cargo partition is down so their top can't go down? I don't remember the exact text, but I've been receiving it lately even though the partition is up.

Any idea what the error might be? (mechanical vs. technical?) Any fixes? Thank you!

Perhaps one of the snaps isn't pushed all the way on. I think is must have a magnetic switch in one of the snaps that holds the divider up. Maybe a wire is loose.

Hello,

If reattaching it doesn't clear it, check to make certain that there is nothing in the area beyond the partition. I had a small rag back there but the Mighty HABU knew it.

Kindest,

Donner

I bet you have it in "backwards" so to speak. I did that once, and it seems that the magnetic sensor, wherever it is, is just far enough away when it is flipped that it doesn't complete the circuit and thereby triggered the message. The snap has a smooth side and an unfinished side, I would say....should be smooth side out.

Look at Fig 3 on http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?s=camaro

Chances are you have it flipped on its vertical axis...it will still snap just fine, but the magnet is now too far away.
