Actually thats a good time for a newbie on this track. I try to get my students to an under 2 minute lap - However:

Sorry, I ran a 1:54.6 in mine on March 14
my 1:55 was on Sat.

No suspension mods, not even alignment, just brembo brakes on the front.
Probably helps that I've had at least 1000 laps there

Thems fighting words...LoL

That lap was on my final 30min run on the track with barely any brakes, not having the ability to heel to toe and my body dam near giving out. Driving around a track for 4 hours in a day is hard work. I can only imagine what race car drivers have to endure..

BTW, how are those brembos? Are they from an SS? Thats going to be my next mod, if they're worth it. Stock brakes SUCK!!!

See you realty don't need to brake

The front brembos even with the stock pads I can haul it down from 110+ to 45 ish between the 200 and 100 marker into 10A. Stock calipers with the xp8 pads I had to brake before the 200 marker.

I can't recall if they are from an SS or not, I know with the rotors and calipers it bolted right up on the front. Rear you have to trim the dust shield. Since I need rotors and pads I'm looking for a rear set to match.

Almost 3 sec a lap faster than last year thanks to Detroit Speed suspension, headers and CAI.
have you ever ran the club course with this set up? what is your best time on that?

NJMP Thunderbolt, no chicane. This was my first time on track in the car. Bone stock 14 z/28 on 305/30/19 Hankook RS4’s. Only got 3 sessions from it being a track night in America. I managed a 1:32.0. I was getting a few tenths faster every free lap, which wasn’t many. I won’t track this car enough
To get really comfortable/confident in it, cause I have a dedicated track car.

Any feel for how much different the RS4's might be in comparison to the OE Trofeos?

Off topic, but I'm curious about that dedicated track car.

Sorry for The late reply Norm, I never tracked the car on the trofeos, so I can’t really comment on that part, but I can say is I really like the RS4’s. They didn’t get greasy, and have plenty of grip for my needs as a street, sometimes tracked car.

My dedicated track car is a Acura Integra, roughly 160hp, 2,200lb. Gutted, coilovers, rollbar. It’s way underpowered, but a hoot to drive. Been 1:18.2 at lightning and 1:36.2 at thunderbolt in it. I believe I actually met you in it at a track night last year at lightning.

I plan to hit thunderbolt in the z/28 on sept 10th with TNIA

Appreciate the tire feedback,

If it was a TNiA last year it had to have been late April or early May. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I'm drawing a blank
