Sounds like you spent money making your car more complicated and refined and you hate it. I can understand that. Lesson learned.

You likely now have a chance to put on a different suspension or to change it back, spending days doing car stuff with your dad. I'd count that as lucky.

F1FTY's result with the 1LE suspension upgrade on his MRC SS was a lot different than yours. He provides a detailed account of his experience here.

Something doesn’t seem right… I upgraded my SS to FE4 bits (sways/control arms) and the GM lowering kit (shocks/springs) for non-mag ride cars. Notice a large improvement. So I’d say your hard parts are fine, unfortunately I don’t know anything about mag ride calibrations, I’d expect that is where your issue is. Maybe someone has some advice.

So you loved how your car felt before, but still felt the need to tweak and swap components? For what benefit?

Don't fix what isn't broke.

"Manual" adaptive suspension systems require you to set the damping rate of the shocks to a specific value and off you go... they stay at that exact rate all of the time, under all conditions, until you change them by hand. When you're on the street, you set them one way, when you're on the track, you set them another way. MRC works a little differently in that it changes the rate based on input from the sensors in combination with a programmed set of values. Drive the exact same terrain, the exact same way, at the exact same speed and the damping rates for the shocks will get set to different values based on being in Tour, Sport, or Track. Drive different terrain or at different speeds using the SAME mode and your experience will vary because the inputs from the sensors will be different.

The lowered, stiffer suspension requires different damping rates than what the car had for each of those modes which is why it had to be reprogrammed. Until you get it out on the track, in Track mode, you won't know whether the stiffer suspension is bringing you the benefits you were looking for.

Also, the suspension and grip on these cars with MRC, right from the factory, is quite good. So, your improvements may be small.
