Seriously, I see people just about every day running red lights and stop signs. I witnessed one right in front of me by my home where a lady turned left directly in front of someone who hit her dead center of the passenger side of her car. They missed us by about 1 foot as they came to a stop. I watched her not even look then a mild look of surprise as that car nailed her. I don't condone speeding, but running lights and stop signs is only asking for catastrophic damage.

Amazing, that the camaro was still derivable after the collision

Shows how strong Chevy has made the cars lately.

Very sad but it looks like from the video that she did turn left very quickly trying to beat the traffic. Of course it doesn’t excuse what the other two were doing. You can tell they were racing each other just from what happened. I have people turn out on front of me a lot just normal city driving and have had to slam on brakes to keep from hitting them. People don’t seem to be courteous anymore when it comes to driving.

Huh? What makes you think it was still drivable?

After watching that, she absolutely turned in front of oncoming traffic. The fact that they were going fast just means it did more damage. Either way, she was in the wrong. End of story. People pull out in front of me almost every day when I'm doing 45, 55, or whatever the limit is and don't even step on the gas and get nowhere near the speed limit quickly. It's like people think you're at fault if you hit them regardless of their negligent choice.

Everyone in this thread who says that they don't condone street racing or speeding are pure... Yeah, no need to say it.

Speeding on public roads is dangerous! There are so much stuff that can happen, it's just not worth it.

Every single one of you have gotten on it once in a while. There are no angels posting so lets stop pretending. And in reality I'm more worried about impaired drivers and just plain bad drivers on the road. Street racing isnt a concern to me.

I'm not discounting those guys were hauling ass, but who's to say she wouldn't have made the same decision if they had been doing the speed limit, only turned a little later. It's the number one cause of motorcycle fatalities too. I ride a bike and have had it happen to me. People don't care, don't look, and think they won't be at fault.

The woman is at fault imo....she clearly turned in front of traffic without yielding to on coming traffic. Not condoning street racing, but I wouldn't be surprised if that part is made up since Cali has been cracking down hard on street racing. It doesn't look like a street race to me.

She shouldn’t have made that left turn. Now the kids pay for her stupidity.
