Stock tire sidewall bubble

Hello. I was washing the ZL1 today and noticed these small bubbles where the sidewall meets the tread on the front driver side tire. I bought the car in Dec of 2016, the tires are the original ones from the factory and the car only has 1870 miles on it. It’s never been to the track or has hit any potholes. Has anyone else seen this on their stock Goodyears?

Sorry to tell you this, but you only get sidewall bubbles like that when the tire is pinched between the rim and something immovable. I really doubt that GY will warrant the tire, but it is worth a try.

I'm trying to figure out how you've only driven that car 1,800 miles in 2 years...... i'm trying like crazy not to drive that many miles per month.

Yep that sidewall was definitely pinched somehow. Maybe it got caught against a curb? I did the same thing to my brand new tire. Ended up having to trash it and buy a new one.

Triple/Inspector: Thanks for the replies and info. With that in mind, the edge of the driveway is pretty steep and I have to enter it at quite the angle with that tire first. That’s most likely where the pinching has occurred.
Barney: I’m in the military and unfortunately timing hasn’t been on my side to get to drive the car a lot. For the trips half way across the country, I’ve chosen to trailer it instead of put the highway miles on it. Still lookin for local twisty roads and to get her on the track next spring.
