It’s available with a 6 speed manual as well as the A10. Most are actually opting for the manual.

That’s awesome. We have do our part to save the manuals.

This will be a great car for sure. The only meaningful competition is the M3, but I couldn’t stand that grill. Caddy looks way better in my opinion. Just missing the V8 soundtrack.

I would never jump to this conclusion simply looking at the stats on paper: more weight, *much* less tire and less torque (plus at least some degree of turbo lag, even if minimal). So to me this is quite a surprise even considering MR 4.0. A10 does make a difference, but not significantly so: Lightning Lap for ZLE A10 vs M6 was only 0.7 faster over a very long lap. This could have been easily a factor of a different day/different driver. Also, when Randy was testing ZL1 with A10 he initially went slower (different track), so not necessarily an automatic recipe for more track pace per se (pun intended) even with a pro behind a wheel.

We will have to wait for an official Lightning Lap to get closer to apples to apples comparo. Ditto with Laguna times in Randy’s hands.

I think this car will be uber fun to drive regardless of tranny choices. It actually sounds damn good for a V6 imo. Very racy to my ear! But, of course nothing beats good ol' V8 in that department

What blows me away is how well the car is hooked up, given tire sizes vs weight. A question yet to be answered is how long will the tires last on this baby...

If a soundtrack is top priority: CT5 V BW awaits

Not to mention the $10K over MSRP that the M3s / M4s are getting.

No, not for this particular car which will be the wife's / family car. She does know how to drive stick but, I don't think that she would want to all of the time. My ZLE is manual as well as my daily driver.

I really did want his and hers LT4s but, I couldn't pull the trigger and the 5 due to the cost (although cheaper than the CTS-V was). Unlike our Camaros, the Cadillacs have a long and expensive option list. Very Germanic.

Agree: options load up very fast indeed! Mind you, even a base car is quite nicely done imo. Just like with a ZL1 (not to mention the ZLE), i just could not justify the price difference to go beyond SS 1LE, especially that locally they (unlike ZL bros) benefited from employee pricing which made it an amazing deal (both times!).

My wife refuses to drive the Camaro. I think the low seating position has a lot to do with it (she is short). I think she would love a CT4 tho either as M6 or A10. Frankly, if/when i get one, i will seriously consider switching to auto. An idea of a more "civilized", yet full on performance car with 4 doors and roomy interior is starting to appeal to me. I must be getting old

I love this new 4V Blackwing for sure, but does anyone know who drove the car for the lap time? Journalists who can drive fast, drive the lighting lap. Curious if a pro drove the 4VB? The 4S's should be slower than the SC3s, which makes the 4VB's time even more impressive. That's why I wonder if a damn pro drove the car, haha!

Car and Driver article says Bill Wise was the driver, he drove the ZL1-1LE at Nurburgring.

That kid is damn fast! Just guessing he could eak out another second or two in the SS1LE out there.

That's a real possibility! That's why we have to wait for the Lightning Lap to produce their lap and see how it compares apples to apples. Ditto Randy at Laguna. But, either way, it is one fast car.
