How many of you have gotten rid of the runflats?

So how many of you have gotten rid of the runflats and either replaced with better runflats or non runflats tires?
Reason I ask is because while not bad, I don't really like them and I'm looking at Michelin pilot sports. Also will it void my warranty or cause problems with dealers cause on my bmw I also ditched them for bridgestone potenza s04s and dealership said they would not work on my car cause I had non bmw wheels and tires...

I have, only because I like the quiet, and was changing sizes anyway. And that BMW dealer is stupid, because that's not their fac policy....

I can't see the Chevy dealer not wanting to work on the car with different tires/rims. My dealership doesn't care, at least that I know.

I love these tires. Not too often that you can manage 60' times in the 1.7's with stock tires and have the added convenience of being a run flat.

That is the only reason I could see for changing these tires: noise. They are noisy.

Call me crazy but I do like my run flats lol. When I upgrade/need new tires, I will still grab the larger size of our current GY's (1LE). Got a flat tire, don't have a spare or don't want to bother with plug and fix etc? Drive to the place of your choosing... People have had tires that had massive gashes in them and still drove 50 miles to a dealership with no problems. Yes, they are loud... Sure... But A little bit of exhaust work, some dynamat and you are good to go! At least that's what I am doing haha.

I actually really like mine a lot too. I don't notice any real noise, because I am listening to radio/music anyway. They ride real nice and actually have some good sticky grip. I too like the security and convenience of run flats.

I'm going to keep them on my stock rims as a fall-back option, but getting some better tires for my new rims.

Also, I had a tire shop once tell me they wouldn't mount a set of snow tires on a set of RS4 rims I had purchased for my old 2004 Audit S4. I never went back there again lol.

I ordered a new set of tires yesterday. Summer tires are just not practical in my climate. I need a tire that is going to be good in almost all conditions. I ordered a set of Continental DWS 06.

What size did you go with to replace the run flat tires? Did you change the wheels too?

Being that I live in MI, switching to all weather tires was one of the first things that I did.

Technically I have not got rid of the run flats though (yet), I still have them and will probably sell them as I am happy with the all weather tires.

I'm lowering mine so I'm staying close to the original size. Probably 275 40 20 on the rear and stay with the 245 40 20 in the front. Gotta keep it fairly close front to rear so I don't have any issues with abs/traction control.
