I gotta say, im a little surprised no one has tried to put a set of 1LE wheels on a gen 6 yet.

They are definitely not the stock size wheels...you do not in anyway want to put a 285 on a 8.5" wheel or 305 on a 9.5" wheel. You can actually tell that while they may be the same design as one of the optional wheels, that they are actually running a totally different backspacing. Most likely due to added width...

Recommended wheel widths for a 285/35-20 is mount on 9.5"-11" wheels. Recommended wheel widths for a 305/35-20 is mount on 10"-12" wheels. I will say... 1) Trying to get a 285/35-20 on a 8.5 ain't going to happen unless you got a tire guy that can work magic. (Sidewall is too short/stiff to lose an inch). Not many would even try, but I do know some that will. 2) That said, I bet he could get a 305/35-20 on a 9.5" rear wheel, with a bit of work, as it's only a 1/2" (or 1/4" per side). But again, they have to be able to work it. --kC |

Forgeline S03P with 275/35 in front on 9.5s and 305/30 in rear on 11.0s. Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Yes wider rims for wider tires.
The question is going to be and has been are the tries going to clear the fenders. Looks like this can be done on the 2015. But the fenders on the 2016 may have been pulled in too much. So without some dimensions and clearances hard to build the wheels (offset) with confidence that they will fit. Not really sure why this original post (dimensions) and other tire sizing requests have gone without an answer. Seems like this is the easy end of aftermarket mods. I thought with some 2SS now on the street someone would have been able to say yes this is going to work. And with the cars coming in winter, optional tires will be required to stick to the street/ice/snow. Mine will be on dry streets, no snow in this part of CA. Some rain would be nice. My car is still on a train somewhere and hopefully will be to the dealer soon. Would be nice to get rims before then. We have all learned to be patient. Or at least we (I) pretend to be.... I want my car (whine). Let the mods begin ($$$). Spend money = cool car = happy driver. |

Today I finally sat in a Gen6, felt claustrophobic! So much smaller inside! (Not a fan of that), but damn everything else about it was sexy! As I approached the car, yup looks smaller & lower (which is nice).... I asked about the wheels!!! Nobody could give me answer, I asked about swaping a wheel from my SS, they said nope! I would have to buy the car first lol

1LE wheels are 11" wide +43 rear & +23 fronts, so looks like not going to fit, but I honestly don't know how it all works or if it's doable still Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
