You deserve just for the fact that you are still posting this stuff here.

Most would have been afraid to report this much bad luck. Sometimes it it best to take a step back, maybe a short break.

I wish you the best of luck. It seems you need it.

LOL! Seriously though, I feel for ya man. I once accidentally used an SAE tap to clean out every single head bolt hole on a brand new L98 block and stripped every single one of them. Then I put heli-coils in them which worked great for all but the last one which I completely FUBAR'ed. I was so depressed I sold the car as-is and bought a truck. lol

I think we've all been in that place where we get tired and frustrated and start taking chances and shortcuts. Let's go easy on him...and wish him luck in getting the situation straightened out.

Thanks for all the encouraging words guys! This is definitely one of the most frustrating trials I've ever been through on this vehicle. I had a buddy that is a career machinist assist me and he wasn't even able to drill down far enough into it to get it out. We killed 4-5 Cobalt bits and didn't make a whole lot of progress. So I've decided to finally hang it up and hand it off to the machine shop so they can work their magic. I'm betting their going to have to use an EDM machine to burn it out. At least I can't say I didn't try.

I never thought I'd be pulling my forged motor due to a cross threaded spark plug hole that led to a broken head bolt, that led to me damaging the deck surface with a hammer! Oh well I'll just use this as an opportunity to build it bigger and better since it's got to be torn down anyway

Sorry to hear all this, sounds like you are on a good track to getting it fixed.

Just as a future option, I had to repair a cross threaded spark plug hole in my original heads (have GMPP ones now). Anyway I used the Timesert repair kit with the head on and it is a very good repair. It crimps the insert on both sides - the combustion chamber and the external side. It's not cheap but it's good quality.
