the way i looked at it, i wasnt going to let a dealership touch the car anyway. i had the car 1 season before modifying it.

it has:

2" headers, no cats, 3" exhaust & magnaflow 4x9 mufflers
ported msd manifold
LT5 tb
rotofab dry
flex sensor
dyno tune 93 oct & ethanol

car picked up 8+ mph in the 1/8 mi on drag wheels. otherwise full weight m6

the warranty debacle is very simple. if you don't have the ability or money to perform a giant repair to the car, don't modify it.

Honestly once I knew I was out of the danger of the bad batch of valve springs, I was not hesitant at all. Went FBO/E85 at about 6k miles and i am at 14k now and not a single issue.

I did it because the car started feeling slow and needed more power. You gotta pay to play if there's no warranty. I think most of us accept that before we start to mod our cars.

The way I thought about it is I had enough money to fix it if something went wrong. I have FBO and e85 with 30k miles and not a single issue at all. If you're not able to fix it if it breaks dont do it. That being said most guys have 0 issues after having their cars with bolt ons for years

The way I look at (car is not my DD - that might be a different scenario) if something fails. It’ll be down for a bit and I’ll just pull the engine and build it stronger.

FBO/E85 IMO isn’t stressing things to the point of failure. If your worried about it and the car is brand new put some miles on it and beat on it a little. Typically MFG defects show up pretty quick.
