Unhappy 2019 2SS Park Assist - not working like it should

I have a 2019 Camaro 2ss and every time I put my car in Reverse it says park assist off. When I go to the Collision detection system menu everything is turned on including park assist but when I'm in reverse and backing up into the driveway there are no beeps or indications on the rearview camera that there's any kind of detection. I've only had this car a few weeks and I've read the owner's manual. I've looked at my Chevrolet app for support and I don't see any specific references to the Camaro park assist only the generic Chevrolet park assist. If I am doing anything wrong please tell me, I would really appreciate it! I'm really unsure of what is going on.

If it is a new car then maybe one of the sensors isn't working and that disables park assist? You may need to take it to the dealer to run diagnostics.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid going to the dealer unless I had to, but if I am not doing anything wrong, I don't know what the deal is. Thinking about asking OnStar too.

Just in case anyone was interested, took it to the dealership yesterday and found the issue and fixed it. A hidden low voltage code was blocking the park assist function. Once they cleared the code it started working fine. Never had a check engine light so I never knew. Reason it probably happened was that this car was sitting in the showroom and never test driven, so the battery was probably drained before I bought it.

Glad it was an easy fix.

If you can put a Battery minder 1510 on it- Its a Battery tender with a desulfarator mode....really works. These AGM batterys need that. Mine is 3 years old and my battery % went from 70% to 90 % in 10 days......

These cars have variable charging systems and sometimes when you are driving it wont charge and you put the car away at 12.3 v.....The tender keeps voltage up....

Hey mot700 did the dealership actually fix or look into the low voltage code ? Or did they just clear it ? Today I was driving back home from a 2 hour trip when I left the parking assist worked when I came home I was experiencing the same situation as you guess I need it scanned as well

I'm having the exact same issue on my 2019 2SS. Will have to check and clear any codes and see if that does the trick...

What did this end up being. My cars sits in garage most of the time and battery is new. I show no codes with my scanner. Do I have to use like dbr scanner?
