ZL1 Addons Jack Pad

Just snagged a black set of jack pads...Nice pieces... There's no mention of using any thread locker on the hex screws...I'm thinking there should be something... Any thoughts ??

I didn't... No issues so far.. Been one year, and the car gets the pads used a lot.....

I used thread locker, which I am still glad I did, but I guess I used the permanent stuff because I needed to move them and the set screws WILL NOT BUDGE! I actually twisted and ruined a very good allen wrench trying to remove 2 of them before I just gave up. So, in other words, I did not move them.

I used a dab of blue thread locker on each for insurance , so they won't back out. Sure are nice to have them on there and not worry about where to lift.

With the permanent (red) locktite, you'll need to apply heat.

Is ZL1Addons the only place to get them? I have seen rubber ones, but I guess those are just temporary while you're using the jack.

I just purchased and received these and the shape and slick feel doesn't give me alot of confidence putting the car up on jack stands. As jack points or lift points it looks fine but the slip off factor on stands alarms me.

From what I understand these are not for jack stands. They are lifting points. Lethal Garage has some YouTube videos to check out.
