I put 3M carbon fiber vinyl 1080 on that section, and when it gets dinged up about every year I replaced it. Simple /cheap /looks good.

Thanks Glen e. I thought about some type of wrap, just wasn't sure how well it would last on there.

Yeah I can understand that. It's just me and my girlfriend, and I always gently remind her lol. It doesn't help that these cars have crazy high door sills to begin with

I have xpel clear bra on them but I also sit down in seat with my back to the console pick up my feet click my shoes together to get any debris off the bottom of my shoes and swing my legs in being very careful not to touch anything but the floor mat. I don't have kids and I am usually the only one in the car except when the wife goes for a ride with me and she knows the drill. I do not daily drive mine though.

Glen could you elaborate a bit on installation of the wrap?

The surface of area in question is not smooth as a painted surface, does that matter.

Blue painting tape. Quickly removed if I will be around people. Definitely have it on when getting it serviced. Don't need much. A few strips 6 to 8 inches long where your foot crosses.

Wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol… Twice… Cut a piece of vinyl… Stick it on… hit It with a heat gun so it molds a little bit… Done… Replace every year…

The spot is always going to take some kicks and get dirty. The idea is to let the vinyl take the kicks and leave the undersurface Pristine.

Black duct tape would work also as well, a little less elegant, but cut right with a razor blade and I’m sure most people wouldn’t even notice it.
