Catless, very worth it. Why pay for performance and leave HP on the table?

I'm catless as well....
no shitty messy litterbox to clean. Don't have to worry about cat hair shed everywhere. ...and scratched up furniture from their claws. Just not worth it. |

That's like saying that want to fight violence against women, so you are sending money to the Bill Cosby defense fund.

On an average race weekend with 40 cars doing 500 miles, about 6000 gallons of fuel is consumed and 120,000 pounds of carbon dioxide produced. The 2018 Camaro SS with all of the emission equipment emits 442 grams of CO2 per mile, or 0.974 pounds(454 grams is equal to 1 pound). It would take one Camaro SS 5 years to emit as much CO2 as a whole NASCAR weekend if the car was driven roughly 21,000 miles a year and retained all of its factory emission equipment.

Decades ago, I went catless for extra power and a cheaper aftermarket system. And before that, I got sick from the smog when training for sports. So I appreciate both sides of this.
Having seen the air get cleaner even though there are far more cars on the road these days, and being able to smell nasty fumes when a catless car goes by, I appreciate how much benefit cats provide. As an enthusiast, I don't want to ruin the high horsepower performance party by convincing the general public and govt officials that we enthusiasts are irresponsible. We have an embarrassment of riches these days in terms of horsepower, so why pollute for a handful of extra hp? |
