Firestone Lifetime Alignment for 1LE?

I just saw on slickdeals that Firestone will be offering lifetime alignments on 1/1/19. Considering that I will be tracking my 1LE and swapping setups a few times a year, I'm debating if this might be worthwhile.

Can Firestones do track alignments on our 1LEs? If I should I trust them is another thing.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

I guess "lifetime" doesn't mean unlimited, it's every 6 months for 6,000 miles.

They (at least the ones here) won’t do specified alignments meaning they will only do what’s i. Their system and will only align it if it deviates from that spec.

I have lifetime alignment on my Jeep, and its a struggle here with them and its just Toe.

I wouldn't trust them on my 1LE

I don't think "Lifetime alignment" would get you an alignment change before and after track days.

They would set your alignment to the specs you want, and then maintain those specs, not change the settings to suit your mood.

They probably would not even set to your specs.

Their machine will have a window for all parameters for your car. Not an exact setting. If it is close enough they will send it. If out of the window, they will dial it in until it just is.

You need someone who really knows what they are doing with an excellent machine to SET it to certain specs.

Not worth the headache. Lazy tech, "it's in the range" good enough for me.

Thanks guys, pretty much what I expected I guess. The fact that they won't align to a specific alignment and only a range is all I need to hear.

Track alignment should be in their machine though.

They didn't even have the correct alignment tolerances for my GMC sierra, no way i would let them touch a camaro even if they did have the correct track specs.

Check with dealer, mine has lifetime for 180. But its only 2 alignments per year. Last time I brought mine in they did excellent job. Plus this particular dealer sells good amount of vettes so I trust them.

I just dropped mine off today for new tires and aligment. After today's alignment it paid for itself.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT: LIFETIME
The lifetime wheel alignment comes complete with everything included in the standard alignment, plus:

A lifetime limited warranty*, meaning Firestone will realign your car whenever you need it, for free, for as long as you own the car.

Certainly reads as though you can get it aligned on demand as much as you want. The devil will be in the fine print.
