Oil around fill cap
Hey guys, I ran my car pretty hard over the weekend, and when I parked and opened the hood I noticed some oil around the fill cap. Someone told me it was my oil boiling off. Can anyone give me any insight on why this happened?

Clean it up and tighten the cap normally. If it doesn't come back, then it was never worth worrying about. If it does, then begin your search for the leak.

2 other zl1's that I drove with had the same issue. They told me it just happens, and it's normal. They were always checking their oil saying it burns alot when pushing the car hard. 1 of them was near stock too. It just sounds weird to me, I've never once read or heard anything about oil getting to hot and boiling out the cap. I'll clean it up and see if it comes back like you suggested, ty for the response.

This isn't something I've noticed on my car, and am running some pounds of boost more than stock. I agree with Gunkk's advice though.
