ZL1 Leaking Oil From Front Main Seal With Stock Lower Pulley??

Okay guys new member here so dont roast me too hard lol

The other night I went for a pretty hard ride in my car, maybe like 4-5 hard hits. Parked the car in my buddies driveway and went inside for like 10 mins, when pulled off he texted me a picture of his driveway with oil on it that leaked from my car. I pulled over immediately and checked the dipstick, just a little shy of full maybe like a third of a quart. So I finish my drive, put the car in my driveway, slid a piece of cardboard under it and went to sleep (by this time it was 3am and I was out on the boat allllll day, beyond tired) wake up at like 7am and had to go check it out. A little oil was on the cardboard but not nearly as much as my buddies driveway so I feel like it was residual just dripping off the belly pan. Then I popped the hood and found oil on the front of the motor, top of the starter, and inside the lower pulley. My ramps are at my shop and unfortunately I have been stuck in bed since this with the flu, ill pull the belly pan this weekend and confirm that its not the oil pan, but im kinda guessing at a front main seal that leaks mostly when under power? Car has 11,000 miles on it and really doesn't get abused that often, kind of crazy to think the front main would leak without ever pulling the lower off and exposing it to possible damage. I did some thread research and really only found this issue on SS cars with blowers, any info or guidance will be much appreciated!!

Why did it blow out tho? I am running the factory pcv system, should I upgrade that as well? or is crank case pressure not the culprit here?

Wouldn't hurt to run a MM catch can good insurance in my opinion. I'm running 2 and venting the oem. Your intake valves and crank seal will thank you!

What oil weight are you using?

If you were doing freeway pulls with 5W 30, your asking for trouble due to 30W being too thin for prolonged track type driving.

I hope you are using 0w 40 or 50W.

Anyway, take it into the dealer.

+1 LS3 seal and a catch can. We sell the Elite Engineering catch cans. Grab the E2X from us with code CAMARO6. That will take care of your issue.

Are you saying replace the stock oil pump seal with an LS3 gasket or an LS3 oil pan gasket?

No warranty, car is obviously tuned with bolt ons. I don’t mind replacing it myself I just want to know if I’m the only ZL1 with a factory lower that has dealt with a leaking front Main.
