Look but don't touch?

I wonder, will the new Camaro be behind ropes, or will they let people touch it, feel it, and sit inside?
So far we haven't seen any photo's of the interior.

I'll bet the only ones there will be on stage and definitely a pre-production model without the fine finishes

I'm guessing they will have 3 cars.... v6, T4 and v8

I think those who attend the reveal will get pretty good access. It looks like Chevrolet is eager to let as many people as possible see it up close.

Soon after the reveal they are taking the show on the road:

I'd say there is a small chance of being able to sit in them, but you'll probably be able to get a pretty close look at the car. I doubt that they'll be cordoned off or only sitting on a stage.

It would be cool if they put one up on their rotisserie to let everyone see the underside of the car. Of course the opposite could happen too, with GM people standing guard to prevent people from taking pictures of certain things (like an ultra close shot of the rear suspension, for example).

Well this makes it sound like there will only be a single red SS, and the public won't see other trims until Camaro Fest.

Quote:
The Camaro that will take center stage at those initial events is a red 2016 Camaro SS coupe, Christensen said.

The car returns to Belle Isle May 29-31 for the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.

A large Chevrolet dealer event is planned in June.

"It will be the first time some of the dealers will see the Camaro," Christensen said.

Chevrolet will deploy a fleet of Camaros during the August 7-9 Camaro Fest, an enthusiast event at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

"We aim to bring a range of powertrains and trim levels so people can see the diversity," Christensen said.

As far as I know, there'll be at least two new Camaros. It would make sense to at least show a base model and an SS model. They have already announced that the convertible will NOT be there.

Back in 08 or 09' I remember being able to sit in a mule, but not the prototype. I can't remember, when it was, but it was in Indy.

That was at the Indy Bash in September of '08.
I was there.

We got to sit in the mule, but the silver car was roped off with the door open.

They brought the yellow car (V-6?) out a bit later and some people were sitting in that one.
