Roto Fab Big Gulp vs Corsa Carbon Fiber Intake

I previously spoke on this forum about boost limits on 93 octane. And now since I’ve got that settled, I’d like to know if there’s a real true difference to adding a big gulp vs using the corsa intake I already have. The car is fully built from the bottom end all the way up with everything you could think of ported as well as a interchiller and a bigger throttle body. Will the big gulp really add a substainal HP gain to my build or should I just stick with the corsa and call it a day?

Do you already have a 103mm TB?

If you have the 103mm tb then yes Big Gulp is definitely worth it over the Corsa.

Is the Corsa a 4" tube while the BG a 5" (reduced to something like 4.5" at the MAF or something)?

I know I had to change my MAF curve when I changed from the standard RF to the BG. Not only because of the delta of the tube diameters, but my airflow went higher, too.

It says no tune required so that would be stock diameter because anytime the size changes you have to rescale the MAF in the tune.

Yeah that’s what I thought, my performance guy said that it would probably only add like 5-10 whp if I added a big gulp and for $500+ it wouldn’t seem like that’s worth it at all.

Do you know anyone one here that has a used one for sale maybe in the 400 under price range? not really wanting to spend 500+ on a intake again 🤣

The more you push the car, the more the Big Gulp is worth it over the standard Rotofab. If you’re staying 700 WHP or under I probably would not bother. Depends on your plans for the car.

Hennessey installed my standard Rotofab on their 850, and I believe I went to a Big Gulp with a 6" inlet tube when I changed to 112M TB

You need to tune when you go over the factory diameter
