500whp N/A

As the title states, has anyone here hit 500whp or at least come really close N/A without cracking open the motor and changing the cam or porting the heads? If so what mods have you done? The new Mustangs hit 500 to the wheel with I/H/E/Tune.

Yes if you find a happy dyno. The last one made 437 stock before they added any mods. 410-415 range is more accurate. Same issue with the SS. I’ve seen them as high as 431 stock. Find that same dyno and do all the bolt ons and 500 range is guaranteed. You can gain 30-35 rwhp from just a good E85 tune

I’ve seen other gts with those mods and they run 470s-480s range more typically

The mods in my sig should be good for 480-500 rwhp range. If you dyno an auto and use 5th you can drop 20-25 off of that estimate

Also if one runs a car and doesn’t use sae correction you can inflate the numbers by 10-20 rwhp as well. They don’t show the correction on any of the 500 rwhp gt that ive seen. Kinda fishy imo

I’m getting a dyno done on the 7th I’ll post results

Give me a 30* day with no humidity, and no correction factor, and inflate the tires to 50 psi, and I will make one say 500. lol

Important thing to remember is with the same mods it might have a lower RWP number but which one makes down the track and around the track faster.... Camaro.
(looks better than that POS Mustang as well)

It's just a number. White line on the ground is what matters.

Look at ULTRAZSL1. 10.85 and he might be short of that 500RWHP you talk of.

No mustang does 10's with that.

Race fuel. suspension, gears and better air than me. So far...the mods they didn't list keep growing and growing. They were stuck in the 10.90-11.0 range until they got on race fuel.

still bolt on I suppose. I bet its over 500 rwhp with that fuel. 20+ hp gain over regular e85. He was talking about with equal hp I think

I should be in the 10.7s this fall. Still kinda hard to compete with a shop built car and unlimited funds.

Im nowhere near fbo, still stock ported tb, regular water pump, stock converter, stock gears, stock suspension, pump e85 etc etc. A 260 lb driver behind the wheel.

And a carbon fiber driveshaft.

No doubt they have more money and more parts on their car.... but technically still just a bolt oh car.... I think they dynod at like 480 or 490 when they went 10.9

If someone starts making those kind of parts for our cars, I'd like to see the end result. I'd love just a set of drag shocks for my car... I'd even settle for singleadjustable. Lol

260 lbs?!?! You got a tenth of a second right there!!! (I shouldn't say much... I'm at 275)

I didn’t mention the shaft because I have one too lol. I don’t list because it is a strength mod and may have slowed me down. I didn’t weigh them but it felt a little heavier than the stock toothpick. The ends and u joints on my dss carbon fiber are very beefy. I was annoyed at first cuz I was looking for more speed and got none. But after seeing how flimsy and how often the stock ds has broken I’m glad I got it. Especially since I’ll be heads/cam/stall eventually.

I’m down to 248 right now been doing low carb lol. My goal weight is 235. I don’t think I can lose much more without shedding muscle mass.

This was my 6th gear pull. I have an A8 car with a 3.73 rear gear. We had a glitch at 6100 which was the dyno equipment and not the car. I brought them the car with headers already installed but it wasn't tuned for it, the pull marked #2 was baseline. The pull marked #1 was after an underdrive pulley was installed and tuned accordingly.
