BTR trinity VS LT2

Hello, I currently own a 22 2SS and am in the process of putting the LT2 manifold on, however I’ve been given access to a great deal on a btr trinity intake, is the BTR worth it over the LT2? What difference can I expect to see with the BTR if any at all?

I think Brett from Pray Performance will tell you the Trinity will out perform the Lt2 all day long. I think it will even fit under the hood where the Hi-Ram won't and of course the Lt2 will also. I ran the Lt2 and its a great manifold for what you spend on it.

The LT2 will crush the Trinity in about 95% of NA Combos.

Here is a graph from a 427 we just did.

Red line is MSD intake
Black line is Trinity

You can see the MSD crushed the Trinity in average HP and torque.

The LT2 is like 5hp peak off of the MSD and follows the same curve.

So pretty much, the trinity is worthless?

No. It has it's place.

If this were an 8,000rpm combo with a 5,500 stall converter it would probably work.

They also seem to work well with centrifugal superchargers.

The high ram is still king. On a similar engine to the one I posted the graph of we made 768hp with an MSD and 806hp with a high ram. Nothing else changed.

Have you tried any of the newer offerings from Holley? Specifically the Low Pro and Ultra Low series.

My only gripe with a high ram is that I’d unfortunately have to either cut or remove the hood, and I’d like to keep the hood on and intact, so is he open to anything that would fit under the hood lol

Mike this looks like a LTK/Track Attack based build?

That was an LTK headed engine.

I thought the short runners of the Trinity would pick up above 5,000rpm as that engine has a big cam and a lot of air demand.

That's why we test!

One would think that the shorter runners would let that cam shine up top with the 7.5k redline. Thanks for the data! I keep wondering about LTK heads on my set up

Unfortunately we have discontinued the LTK heads for the time being.

The supplier wants us to commit to an absolutely massive number of raw castings for another batch. With the current sales volume it would end up being like 25 years worth of inventory. Not feasible.

Unrealistic business practices and politics seems to be the norm these days. They just love hurting themselves
