D3 or AFCO heat exchanger

Hey guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on a new heat exchanger purchase, I'm between the D3 and AFCO. My car doesn't see much if any track racing, only the odd 1/4 mile passes and I have a rotofab intake only at the moment.

Future plans are cam/ injectors/ headers and boost! But for now I'm looking at adding a SC reservoir and bigger HX. I like that the D3 is 3 passes but I'm not sure if I should go AFCO with or without fans? Please help me decide! I've done many searches on this and can't decide.

Thanks !!!!
Blair

You definitely don't need fans. I really like my D3 Reservoir and I and a lot of others have the Ron Davis heat exchanger.

According to the website, stock is 5/8" deep and RD is 1 3/8" deep, just over twice as deep.

My next mod will be the Ron Davis one. I have the D3 and it looks awesome when you open the hood.

Agreed.

I took an extra step and had them both painted black so they blend into the engine bay and look OEM.
