I'm on board...
I've been waiting and waiting to drive a 6th gen 2.0t, hoping that it was going to be amazing. Finally a couple showed up locally, a bottom of the barrel 1LT manual trans, and a 1LT auto with some options.
I drove 2.0t both cars, and along with a v6 manual, and v8 Auto. Just for the sake of comparison, I also drove a manual Ecoboost manual Mustang. I hated the mustang powerband. I was contemplating ordering or having the dealer find a no option (aside from the auto trans) 2.0t in a color I wanted... But after a lot of thinking this morning before the meeting to potentially purchase the new car, I just said to myself, "F--- it, get the car with the options if it pencils out rather than being a cheap @$$ for the rest of your life"... So after going round and round for about an hour, I'm now the proud new owner of a 2016 1LT RS w/ the Technology Package, Auto, Black bowties & Black 20"s. All I can say is... I love it! I bitched about the seats and lack of room for a while, but once I finally had time to properly adjust the seat to fit myself, it's all good. The Bose sound system sounds great to me, I see no reason to change anything audio related. This is my 4 1/2th Camaro I've owned since 2010 (had a couple prior to that though)... I say 4 1/2th because I owned one of the 5th gens twice, (my 2010 1SS manual, first and third owner) lol. I'd say this one is my favorite, I'm driving it more than I need to, just for the sake of driving it. The 6th gen 2.0t is a total blast, like I figured it would be after driving some other random 2.0t cars that weren't a Camaro. I put 100 miles on it today, and I'd say that half of those miles weren't really necessary. It's such a fun car to be in, I just wanted to keep driving! I'm going to start playing with things engine related in the near future... Keep your eyes peeled. And since this thread is worthless without pics... On with the pics... Stay tuned... Congrats Jason on your nice ride. I think that I know what really happened. You did one of your wine drinking evaluations, maybe some pizza, and bam, got what you really wanted!

Congrats! It looks like it could use a JacFab bent style front license plate bracket now.

First tank of premium finally burned through... Actually the second tank of fuel but the dealer filled it with regular. Saw 22 mpg last time on regular, this time 25 on premium. Same driving, same routes. All in town low speed driving and some rural city hwy, looking at the avg speed of only 28 mph, I'd say mostly town.
Not bad! I have a feeling it's going to go in the toilet though because I've started running the AC now as it's been high 90s low 100s here since this past weekend. And it's only going to get hotter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
