If he doesn't have bananas on his front splitter, it's not a race car. Also, if he doesn't, you should definitely tell him that the fastest ones have those damn things on there. See if he gets some and then laugh at him.

The funny thing about this thread... My Euro buddies always say the same thing about the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger.

I can only imagine what their forum looks like...

This guy across the street with his...HOLD MY BEER!!

INFO,

Why this for that? Holy hell that is like a new thread in itself! While I like me a Camaro and like to poke fun at other cars, this was a drastic change. That car was/is no joke, from what I read and hear. Had one dogging me the other day, was slower obviously but quick non the less.

car was fun to drive hugged the curves like no other car i ever driven.
the car from the factory was built for the track and never tracked the car since the closest one to me over 2 hours away.

she was fast in the lower end but top end that little turbo didnt pull hard took forever to hit top speed 169mph.
i always liked cars more for drag racing since those tracks are every where

Main reason for trading it off though as i get older my knee's bother me and getting stuck in traffic was a killer with the 6 speed manual but will miss the looks of the car since in my area i had the only one within 90 miles so it stood out every were i went

Amen. I am decent at autocross and have lost to one. On a track day we got them covered. But they are quick little MFs.

Nice ride. I like the FL5 body style they moved to this generation. I just can't do a manual for a daily. After watching my dad do it for years and complain about his knees along with traffic getting backed up due to constant construction I've always bought automatic cars.

In this case, thankfully no bananas.

I think I will ask him what happened to his bananas and see what he says. He is older (70ish), so he might not have a clue about what I'm talking about.

I was talking to a random Challenger owner about his car and he told me the added weight helps keep it planted in corners. I didn't really know what to say so redirected the conversation to the exhaust.
