Umbra 2019+ smoked LED taillights installed

Just installed these on my 2019 ZL1, purchased from Wildhammer...

I have never liked the 2019+ tailights... Install was very easy but you have to remove the bumper.

I hate to be that guy, but I think if an install requires removing the bumper, it is no longer considered "easy". I'm not saying an average Joe can't do it, but I think we are using the word easy real liberally in this case, haha.

That said, they look dope.

You are correct, I should have "fairly easy"

They look nice but not sure I’d want to remove the bumper.

I originally thought I wasn't going to like this update but it's growing on me...gonna have to save up a lot of pennies! LOL

I agree with you SS_Don about removing the bumper. Removing/Replacing stuff isn't my strong suit but, then again, replacing my side makers with Diode Dynamics wasn't either. Apples and oranges but we'll see.

I'd be more concerned with them only giving a 1yr warranty for almost 800 bucks.

These do look intriguing and i noticed wildhammermotorsports has started selling them as well, I did read early on when I first saw these that they had some water intrusion issues. OP have you noticed anything since installation? And what's the reasoning behind having to remove the whole bumper? And any good install videos out there or that you used to install these?

There has been ZERO water issues... I took my car to the car wash, and purposely sprayed alot of water to see if there would be any issues...

The bumper from 2019 and up was changed on the Camaro. There is a plastic "ledge" that the lights sit on and then attached to the car. There is 1 single screw that is under the bumper for the "ledge" and that is why you have to take the bumper off...

I purchased mine from Wildhammer, and absolutely love the new look. I had a 2016 2SS and loved the lights, then when I bought my ZL1, I hated the refresh of the tailights, this fixes GM's goggle lights...

Yeah i just got done going thru a video i saw on youtube. The 2018 I used to have was easy to remove the rear tail lights, why the hell Chevy decided to install a bolt under the bumper is mind boggling. I also saw in the video i watched that you had to attach something to the 3rd brake light. Did you have to do that to yours? Also how difficult was it to remove the rear bumper in your opinion?
