The gain you get from an aftermarket vs the stock air tube is a smoother flow of the air, and throttle response, whereas the stock convoluted rubber tube and silencer create some restriction and turbulence before it gets to the TB, and yes K&N has a "drop in" high flow filter for the stock air box.

Totally Agree... gives it a good look, but gains are very minimal if any for most CAIs

CAI, and better yet add the air scoop/ washer bottle relocate package. Not cheap at $380 and $117 from Phastek, but hot intake air is not a good thing for performance.

i roll with an AirRaid and it did gain me hp
