Difference between model years

I'm looking for any and every little difference between 2017 to 2018 to 2019 model years, I'm in the market to trade my 2013 2SS in and join the ZL1 team!

2017-2018 are identical. 2019 has same front but different taillights. Also believe the infotainment system is a little different on the 19. Congratulations on your upcoming purchase!

2017 will have 50th badging. (Bright green color option)
2018 will be the first year for ZLE.
2019 will be the first year for the ZLE with A10 option. More tech features (I think different back up camera.) Different tail lights. New colors, orange, and a steel grey.

Can’t think of anything else.

That’s all i can think of.

2019+ has the rearview-mirror-is-actually-a-camera-display and also loses the programmable garage door opener buttons. Also, the MyLink infotainment system version 3, different taillights/rear bumper.

That '20 camera takes a little getting used to. I don't know why exactly, but it does. It works great and all that, but it's just weird in a way I can't describe.

That sounds disgusting actually lol. The 17-18s the camera displaces on the touchscreen?

I think most have touched on the subtle differences, not sure if a definitive list exists.
Regarding the infotainment system, it's an important difference between 17-18 vs 19 because the old system uses a MOST-50 audio BUS system, while 19 uses EthernetAB

Translation: if you like car audio (Bose system is not great in the ZL1) none of the current audio interface devices will work for the 19, so upgrading the audio system would prove to be challenging.

If that's not a good enough reason, and you don't care about audio, those ass-ugly bugg eye looking tail lights should be a bigger reason to go 17-18 vs 19

Not a fan of the '19's tail lights and prefer the 17-18 as well, but that doesn't bother me overall. I was going to replace them with aftermarket lights that look like the '18s but have a sequential turn signals built in. The most important factor is that I get a Garnet red manual with a sunroof. I like the carbon interior, like to have navigation, like to have PDR, but all of those are just like to haves. Second is price which is self explanatory. I won't be replacing the head unit in which ever year I get so I'm not worried about that. Actively looking for her now but may just wait until the new C8's come out and people trade their ZL1's in for them. I'm willing to wait if I have to. Thanks for that info though

Don't forget the 18 gained the crucial low washer fluid warning sensor

Subtle differences in the model years and 2017 was first year for the 6gen ZL1. My ZL1 has Fifty on the bottom part of the steering wheel(all 2017s have this). If model years don’t matter to you I would look for a used low mileage 2018 or 2019 to get. I found my 2017 on Cars.com used with less than 500 miles for a good price about 4 hours/300 miles from where I live. If you buy used you can save money over buying new and find some good deals out there!
