Doesn't look all that great to me, sorry to be a nay sayer but it looks like a bag of smashed azz.
Interior does look good, however I don't dig the external look. Badging was definitely an afterthought, the exterior as a whole just looks PLAIN. It looks like a Forte from the back. 455HP is a good starting point however I wouldn't trade in my current stuff for it though. To each their own and to those who will buy enjoy it.

Well I decided to wait a day before posting my comments just to see if my initial reaction was off. I had a great day at the teveal yesterday and met some really nice folks and saw several cars I absolutely lusted over and wished I owned. Sadly the new Camaro was not one of them. There's no doubt GM built a better car, fit, finish, weight, power, interior, heck ever the paint were all top quality on par or better than the best from Europe. It's a great looking car but it's just not a sexy sports coupe in my eyes. At the risk of being called a Ford fan boy, I find the exterior of the Mustang more pleasing to the eye as it looks longer, lower and wider... more classic in its proportions. On the way home I saw a late 60's Chevelle SS and it reminded me of the new Camaro in proportion and in the greenhouse. An attractive car, and one I'd own, but not what I hoped for I guess. For me, this is the first time in a long time I've thought Ford had the better looking product. Having said that though, this car has raised the bar and Ford has some work to do as looks aren't enough to get me to buy a car. If it were I would have bought a Camaro SS over my Mustang. And for those calling "fanboy", had the ZL1, 1LE or Z/28 been offered when I bought, I might have been parked in the main area yesterday rather than out on the grass.

It's amazing to think that you can still buy a car like this in America. No where else on earth offers anything like the new Camaro under $40k and anything that might compete in power and performance cost $80k and up.
I traded my last Mustang, this was my 5th (2008 Bullitt) for a 2010 Camaro as soon as the Camaro was released. Bought a 2012 Camaro and 2 Corvettes since. I would have bought a Boss 302, but couldn't afford one at $20k over sticker (literally) and glad I didn't since my mildly modified 2010 Camaro beat Boss 302s at the drag strip by a significant margin. Now, the 2016 Camaro is looking like the car to beat for the next few years. Yeah, Ford will release special edition Mustangs that only a few can afford that might be better in some areas, but it seems to me they've lost the will to compete with Camaro. The 2016 Mustang gained 5 HP and another 100 lbs and even with the track pack, it's independent suspension can't keep up with a 2013 1LE. Not much improvement, Ford! So, Camaro fans win again. Come on Ford....get in the game!

Until I digest all the specs and potential to modify what GM doesn't offer I'll reserve full judgement.
Unsure what I expected or what would've made me sprint to pre-order but at first view it's evolutionary body styling, power train and mechanical stats doesn't make me want to give up my 2010 RS. With that said when the 50th Anniversary edition is announced I'll give it some thought.

I couldn't be happier with the look of the 6th gen Camaro for 2 reasons. I'm glad that the design says "Camaro" like the 5th gen did. I never liked the fact that the 2nd gen took NO styling elements from the iconic and still loved and revered 1969. The 6th gen seems like they improved the 5th gen with reduced weight and increased performance but didn't throw out the design elements that make it identifiable as a Camaro. Just as a 1969 and a 5th gen are completely different cars, they clearly share the same design lineage. The 6th gen continues that. All that being said, the second reason I love the new 6th gen is that it makes me love my 2011 'Vert even more. It is the perfect car for me!

Can people please stop complaining about the "badging". My god, take the badges off if you hate them so much. I doubt they are welded and held on with gorilla glue. There will be hundreds of aftermarket parts including a front grill so if you dont buy a car because of a grill or badges, you are an idiot.

I was at the Reveal and have to say the exterior just looks great in person. Gen5 on PEDs. Lots of great little details like the scalloping behind the rear window. This design team busted their asses to somehow improve on an already great car and did it in spades. The SS with MRC runs faster lap times than the '15 1LE. Concede only 5 HP to the C7 (and beat Mustang by 20). All this "more" but 200 lbs lighter. It really is an incredible accomplishment.
