Redline Motorsports TVS2650 vs TVS1700 shoot out
So we recently did some independent testing with Edelbrock Superchargers using there new TVS2650 supercharger and stacked it against the OEM TVS1700. As to be expected it performed very well. Much larger case and superior cooling system contributed to the gains. The test was performed on a prior built ZL1 10 speed car we had completed almost a year ago. The car had our PHASE 3 Performance package which kept the factory 1700. I'm sure it will be asked why didn't we do this on a stock LT4 and the answer is we wanted to see this blower work under modified conditions. Its safe to say it clearly out performs the factory blower so an increase is evident.
Here is the formal write up on the swap... https://www.lsxmag.com/tech-stories/...rger-on-a-zl1/ Redline Motorsports-HT Last edited by Redline Motorsports; 06-28-2018 at 05:43 PM. |

Nice. How did you get keep the A/F ratios happy on the stock fuel system (if stock)? By running meth?

70 wHP and 40 LbFt on the same boost tells the story; the 2650 is clearly a more efficient match for the 6.2L.

What I would love to see is a dyno comparison on a modified motor between the TVS 2650 and 2.9L Whipple.

yes Modified whipple vs modified eforce lets see if the claims of are true more flow from a 2650 vs 2.9.. Then stock zl1 with pulleys vs the 2650 setup..
Redline.... Is this going to be a easy swap pull the LT4 1700 off and add the eforce and all the plumbing plugs and just some extensions or harness for the electronics? or we talking changing damper, tensioners, and other stuff?

I suspect the 2650 will make more torque, but the HP numbers should be about the same. I would also love to see a comparison on manifold intake temps at the same elevated power levels. Eventually we're going to see these back-to-back comparisons, and I can't wait. |

Cooling bricks on stock blower are small.
I have always been obsessed about intake air temps... Whipple has larger coolers than stock, but that one is even larger!Really interesting! |

What’s the price difference between the Whipple 2.9 and the eforce 2650? What would be fuel requirements if any? Which is easier to install?
