Went to Atco last night...

I went later than usual and got in 2 runs before I left. I handily beat an early 2000s modded Mustang GT. It did sound good though. Mustangs usually do. That run was 12.632@112.81 with a 1.985 60'. I did hold on to 2nd a little too long, but otherwise a solid run in bad air.

The second run was much smoother and better with a 12.516@113.03 with a 1.934 60'. But this time a Fox Body took big revenge, smashing me with a 10.904@121.66 with a 1.453 60'. I did tree him a little, so it was a race for 50 feet.

Also another CA6 M6 SS was there. The car was in the middle of a white wrap over black(?). I did not get to see him run but did stop by to chat. He was expecting maybe too big of a result in his SS. Maybe in the fall. If you spot this thread let us know how it went for you.

Pat was there too, just spectating. He can't wait to get his 2017 auto GT so we can start racing. I should have my drag radials on by then. He will put is on too and we should be pretty even.

Lasrt night I brought a friend too who enjoyed the scene and the action at Atco Friday nite T&T. He was dreaming of getting a car to have fun with and just maybe take it to the Atco T&T.

I left around 9 just as it was starting to rain.

Nice, 12.5 with a 1.9 60 foot stock is very respectable.. The shifting/launch is really good and you'll see better numbers with better air. In bad air, everyone is going to suffer unfortunately!

I wonder is the DA is low in the video below.. The tester got 12.3 launching at 4k.. In the VS M4 video, they launched it 75 times and the best was 12.4. Too bad they didnt' show the time slip on the 12.3 run :(

Regardless, great to see everyone having a good time with their Stangs/Camaro/Challys

Car and Driver got a 12.3 out of their manual tester as well...

I got my best time, 12.405, this summer looking forward to the fall. But I will need my DRs to keep up with Pat's auto 2017 GT. In the good air with just DRs he will be around 12.1-12.2. I hope to at least match that.

I would think about mid September. Looking forward to good air as well. The thing about a hot day is you get to practice your launch often. When the air is good and the track is prepped, then you wait.

I only got in 2 runs last night. The air was so so and my MPH was around 113.

With the DRs @ 32 pounds I got a 1.970 60'. Not as good as my best on the street tires. I was launching at around 3K rpm. On my second run I lowered the DRs to 25 pounds and left at a higher RPM. But wheelhop made me back off a little so that was a 2.009 60'. On that run I shifted more aggressively and broke into the 12.4s with a 12.496@113.26.

The first run was the most fun. I raced a full bolton Auto SS sedan and we were dead even. He added some custom (Australian?) touches and the car was so much better looking than stock. I should have gotten a pic. Any way I beat him with a better RT. He ran a 12.514@112.35 and I ran 12.528@113.21. Fender to fender at the end!

Pat was there spectating with his entourage. No word on his auto GT yet.

Also the 1LE replicas (on the back) were a big hit at Atco. Pics were taken and more people commented on the SS than usual. Wait until I get the fronts on!

Sounds like you need to make a call to BMR...get that rear planted.
