Tansmission swap question?

I am not a great mechanic. I stick to bolt ons as I know my limitations.

A thought occurred to me last night. With the A8 shudder "concerns" could a A10 tranny be swapped in replacing the A8 tranny? If so is it a direct swap and then get a transmission tune?

My mind and limited knowledge say no but I had to ask.

I just custom ordered a 2019 and now im getting worried I will have to watch out for this. This is going to be my daily driver, I want this car to last 10 years. If GM has had this issue for so long and havnt had a real fix I want something to be done about it. I would love to get the A10 swap if its possible but theres no way it would be cheap.

The 2019 is equipped with the A10! Nothing for you to worry about.

Wasn't it only the 2019 SS, though? Unless I misremember, which is possible, LT trims still get the A8.

Mine still has the A8, the A10 is not available unless you opt for a V8. Im getting worried as 2019s are still listed in the lawsuit, its been years and there is no set fix for this. The only thing covered under warranty that I see is getting the flush done but people still have issues after that so its not really a fix.

Yikes, my bad. Thank you for the education. I know all to well that the A8 is a nightmare, and that is because GM is doing nothing to correct it. After fighting with two different dealers I have gone ahead and had the AFM tuned out. I am hoping that I never have to deal with it again.
