LED front turn signal

Has anyone converted the front turn signal to LED? For the driver side, am I correct to say that the air filter box must be removed? If so, can someone tell me the steps sequence to do that. Thank you.

I did my LED without removing the air filter box including installing the resister just pulled the rubber protector back and reached in, however removal would give you a little more room, to remove the air filter box you just pull up on it and it will pop out of it's mounting points. just be mindful of the connections that go between the air filter box and throttle body.

I no longer have my OEM box installed and I cannot recall how it went together if you can remove the air tube at the box or not.

Resister mounting

Guys, forget about cutting your wires and installing the stupid resistors.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These are working perfectly fine in my car without any changes.
(All credit goes to the user "DirectTo" for finding these.)

Enjoy!

Does it not hyperflash even after 10-15-30 seconds?

Just ordered these the other day and should have soon. Anyone have a video of them in operation?

Thanks for the info

I think I'll give them a try. Can always put the stockers back if these fail, and this mod doesn't even require removing the bumper.

That's what I was looking for, too!! I've just ordered a couple of sets, as I'll use two bulbs for the front blinkers and two of them for the rear European indicators (back-up lights socket for the US cars). Thank you Nookz!!

See you!!,

So my bulbs came today, and I thought I’d start with passenger side first and could not get the bulb out of socket. I take it that it just comes straight out with a pull?

If you are referring to the front turn signal... yes. See picture. Side markers are the same.

My original bulbs sat REALLY tight in there the first time I removed them, so just apply some decent force (careful not to break the glass!) and pull them straight out.

Thanks guys! Yea I was able to get the passenger side to move slightly but not much, about a finger nail width. I was afraid I'd break it and cut my fingers. I'll put on a latex glove next time. Seems I gonna have to really get involved with the drivers side since I have the CAI intake. Looks like I'll need to remove the top shroud and get my hand in from the side.

Oh, you were talking about removing the bulb socket from the housing.
Yeah, you need to twist that a bit one before you can pull it out from there. No big deal, though.
