4 hrs. unnoticed..... I wonder how many sets of rims they got a hold of.

It does sound like an inside job though, because if they killed the lights, then they knew where to park their van so its tags wouldn't been seen.

I think the article said 48 cars.

Yeah for them to know exactly where to park and take their sweet ass time and not get caught, had to have been an inside job. Keep your eyes peeled for a lot of new oem wheels for sale on CL.

Relatively inexpensive Camaro? Really? As far as Chevy wheels go its probably the 2nd most expensive behind the Vette, not to mention the most in demand making them the easiest to sell.

A quarter million worth of wheels? 48 Cars? That's $1300 per wheel. A little steep, I'd say.

Tires too though. So add a few hundred per wheel

48 sets of rims...that's 192 wheels and tires.....had to have several trucks/vans to make off with that many wheels and quite a few people to pull off that kind of heist.

Interesting. So for it to be $250,000 worth of wheels and tires, they're saying each wheel and tire combination is worth $1,302.08, meaning it should cost $5,208.33 for a set of 4 wheels and tires. Come on. You can get forged monoblock wheels and tires for less than that.

People are just awful. Scum of the Earth. If only they would put that much effort into being productive members of society.

I think Tyler PD has a few good leads. An arrest will come pretty soon. So I'm told...

Something doesn't smell right here. It would take a semi to move 48 sets of wheels and tires, that has to be over 6 tons of cargo. Even though the dealer is claiming $250,000 to the insurance company, the thieves are not going to get that. Figure $500 a set for stolen goods. That's $24,000 if they can sell them all. Factor in someone to drive the semi, 5 guys to jack up and take them off and people to sell them. Your looking at $2-3000 a person for a hell of a lot of work and risk.
My guess is the dealership had something to do with this.
