Vitesse Eco Modes
Has anyone tested the mpg using the Vitesse throttle controller on its E modes? I commute 5 days a week with my car and would like to know as this could be another reason to justify the purchase with the wife

OK then.... potential gas savings is about one mpg per setting. IE ECO 5 will save 30% of the rounded sum of the prime (about 56.765123254) times inertia (42?) vs. the overall speed coefficient. So right about 5 mpg. To simplify (a)= (c)x (b)÷^6.765498/£. lbs. She'll understand.
Seriously, you might just need to do like I have to do sometimes and make something up. Think of all the gas savings I am getting from my CAI!

It seems like all the reviews I've looked up always focus on the SP0-9 |

My understanding was that the ECO modes did not work with the LS3 or L99's. Personally, I wouldn't use them anyway, but I'm pretty sure they are non-functional with the V-8's.

All it does is change how wide the throttle opens based on how far you press the gas, so flooring on sp9 or Eco will eventually have the same effect eco will just take longer to open wide, so it's saving you gas by keeping you low in the rev range. I'm talking out of my ass by the way but that's my .2

The eco modes do indeed work as you can clearly feel the difference from stock. However, I don't know if fuel economy improves. The eco modes make the throttle position change very slowly, and is very mushy/numb feeling.

Back many months ago, I read that the higher eco modes were causing the check engine to turn on. Don't quote me that though...

You're having a hard time getting a PO for $200?
Good luck |

Seriously, I do get 2-3 extra MPG with my CAI. Finally ended up with Airaid. The biggest, baddest, mofo of an CAI you will find outside the track. JMHO. (what? ass talk was previously mentioned so it's allowed right?)
Hit me up with a PM, I have a slightly used VTC you might be interested in.

Even if the Eco settings did work on the v8, I can't imagine there is enough gas saving going on to make it worth the aggravation. Just my $.02 |
