For some reason I thought it would be like some long process or something like that. |

This. It can be something serious (time wise), depends on how "bad" it is but it is an easy fix.

Spoke to my dealer today about this very thing. No license plate bracket holes, no dealer stickers, and no washing. They will even let me bring my own stuff and wash it in the detailing area. Saves them labor, but hey, that will allow me to ensure only fresh microfiber towels touch the car. Lessens the chance of swirl marks and still let's us inspect the car before I take delivery. Win win.
Then off to the detailer for paint correction and ceramic coating. |

Use the Force

If you decide to do it yourself, use a very light compound and use light pressure on the buffer. Let the compound do the work for you.

I would 1. talk to dealer to see what happen. If they did it make them pay for a detailer of your choice.
2. You can pay for a detailer and get on to enjoying your new ride. 3. You can correct it if you want to purchase the equipment and necessary towels, polishes, pads, and learn the methods etc....A lot more $s than one good detail. But a good idea to learn if swirl marks bother you. The swirls are in the clear coat and should buff out with light work. Here are some videos from a sponsor on car care. See proper washing to keep from inducing more swirls and paint correction. http://adamspolishes.com/video |
