Just in case anyone is asking the question why my PDR screen(s) do not look like the other Camaro PDR screens, (Blue background(s), different tach showing in the video, etc) my PDR came out of a salvaged CTS-V therefor the theme overlay on it is of the Cadillac CUE system. I am looking into the ability to flash it with the Camaro software to better blend it into the MyLink theme from the Camaro line.

Sadly, I don't think this will work in a '16. I've wanted it since announced but, those that have done the programming can correct me if I'm wrong, the modules from the '16 are not the same as the '17 and the IO6 radio is definitely different. The lack of storage and RAM in both the radio and HMI alone likely prevents its' use for PDR. And I'm not sure if all the '17 modules can be transplanted to a '16.

I don’t have access to a service manual from a 16 however as long as the connectors are the same and the correct wires to tap are present I think it should be able to be done.

I have taken a module out of a 14 Cadillac to add HD radio, while I was able to get that to work I am working on a different solution, long story short I would assume the modules should be able to be changed as long as the connectors and wiring lines up.

If you PM me your VIN I can check if the A11 radio I have had a calibration for your car.

As far as the HMI I would check with Chris White / Gen5 you could also ask them on the A11 radio module programming.

It will with proper custom programming, we've done it on other platforms without issue. Just have to be careful and do it right (and by that I mean not using other vehicles vins when programming and setting off tamper controls/blocking updates etc lol GM wasn't kidding about Global A Security in all those bulletins!
