Cold start smells gas

Hey!
I would like to ask you, you who have the Gen6 Camaro SS V8.
Smells your Camaros exhaust system gasoline when you start the car in the morning for 10-15 seconds
Only on (Cold start) for 10-15 seconds.
Is it OK??
Thank you.

Yeah it just takes a while for the catalyst to heat up and become effective. Happens with most modern gas vehicles.

Mine does it too. Just like DailyFifty mentioned, the catalytic converter does not fully operate until it gets up to a certain temperature. The computer is also running the engine in open loop mode during cold starts ignoring the a/f ratio sensors.

most modern cars do something of this nature on cold start.

my turbo kia does it, and it's loud as hell on the intake side (with cold air intake)
