seems like it'll be the same as the rear diff fix. the first flush used the Mobil 1 LV ATF, if this is a newer version of it, kinda sounds like theyre just adding more of the catalyst (no pun intended due to screen names) that prevents slippage.
You are welcome..

Just got off the phone with my local dealership as I had an appointment to get the flush again for the second time. When the service guy called me and said they are literally doing nothing, not even another fluid flush until the new fluid comes in. However, he said the new fluid will be in next week to them as they are a high volume dealership. I also asked about the "tool kit" and he said it is a new attachment to their flushing machine.

So all this "fix" will be is yet another flush? So any potential damage to the torque converter from the all of the shuddering is going to be left up to the customer to fix out of his or her own pocket or would that still be fixed on Chevy's dime due to the original issue? I've had to take mine in 8 times now, mostly for minor cosmetic stuff, but two of those times were for the shudder and rear differential. I'm also about to take it back in for the rear differential again because that problem has reared it's ugly head again. This car is great when it's running good but these constant trips to the dealership have me seriously thinking of getting rid of it.

Whatever this fix turns out to be I am telling my dealer to pull the TC and inspect, any damage they Re going to be replacing with a new TC. This will be th 4th time for A8 issues for me once it goes in again, already had the damn transmission rebuilt!

Anecdotal, but a couple of ZL1 A10s around me have no issues. I have not read of any A10 shudder issues on these forums either. I may have missed any such posts.

With the A8s, I own one and interact with several owners regularly, locally. 4 out of 5 have the shudder to some extent. The shudder is very easily reproducible, just have set the car to cruise around 65-80mph, and then drive on an incline.

I've not heard of any a10, either ss or zl1 that has the issue. I've only heard of a few 2018 a8's with the issue.

The 16 2SS Vert is in the shop for the A8 Shaking / Vibration at 34500 miles. I have a heavy/shake vibration that starts in the transmission moving into the engine / drive train. The rear and also has a groaning sound that's fairly evident on a hard left turn after the car has been sitting overnight. While the dealership has declared the behavior was 'normal ' in the past, the tech I took on for a drive said I'm well beyond the realm of normal at this point.

While the service tech stated that some shaking/vibration is inherent with the transmission, my case appears to be well beyond what is considered normal. Over time, the shake/vibration has gotten much stronger and occurs much more frequently when the 2ss is driving on an incline, and more recently on a decline.
