Going thru the GM dealer here who is listed as a Falken dealer doesnt seem like there going to be available until fall.

Has anyone heard anything more about the 315’s being released ?

I’m going to be buying tires in the next few weeks.

Dealer never bother calling me back. I guess they dont like selling me tires....or new Corvettes in the future.

I went with Hankook S4 305/30/19 all around. Just breaking them in.

I think tire rack may currently be the only retailer for them, but the biggest size is 255/35-18, so not even close. They're probably not even being manufactured yet.

Some of the big sizes will start coming in late August. All I've heard.

This talk of high prices for big 19" tires makes me glad that I got 18's and am running the 275/40/18 Nexen NFERA Sur4G Drift-compound tire. $163/each on Tire Rack! Takes me out of street, but locally the only class with major participation is CAM-C.
Autocross is "grassroots" motorsport, but being nationally competitive is expensive. The level at which I do autocross, I'm not even in the topsoil!

If you have no desire to compete nationally, then it's hard to spend the money. Like anything, if you want to compete at a high level, you're going to pay. My 305/30-19 BFG Rivals were like $1350 for the set, plus install at a performance shop in the area since not many places can work with that size of a tire. When I was looking it wasn't drastically more expensive to move up from a 275 or 285, maybe $500 extra for wheels and tires, and it would be cheaper to do it all at once than do a season and then decide to move up. Also, the absurdity of a 2.0T Camaro with 305s on all 4 corners is quite entertaining.

They are avail now in 305/30-19...I would assume the 315s are avail now also.

$1,100/set is pretty damn good if the tire is decent.

There is no listing yet for the 315/30/19, and the 305 listing says "Out of stock, please call for ETA." So yeah, still vaporware.

Nothing on TireRack yet, but it's good to see some movement on the bigger sizes, even if they aren't actually available yet. I'm still only at 30 runs on the Rivals, so a ways to go until I'd need new ones anyway.

I wonder if the 295/35-19 would be a better option over the 305/30-19 just to have more diameter. The 305s are about 5% smaller than factory, so you're losing top end. Might not make much of a difference to you V8 guys since your 2nd geard is pretty tall for autox, but I'm hitting redline at nearly every event since I'm redlining at 62 with the 305s. Stock would be 65 mph at redline.

It's a tradeoff, because taller tires increases lateral weight transfer through raising the CG of the whole car and also through raising the roll centers. So you'll lose cornering and braking grip. I would stick with shorter, although I can certainly understand that it's annoying to run into redline during a run.

So I ran the 285 RE71 R at the last event i was at.

Ill say this, cornering response was sooo good! Lateral grip in some of the sweepers was noticeably lower but not to a determent. at least thats what i thought.

the 295 rt660 has my eye for the front! Not only cause its just a little wider than the 285 but also cause the tire shops wont hate me when i bring them to mount lol
