The big difference are the side winglets. 1LE are very tall compared with almost non-existent ZL1

Those who were brave enough to do the swap alone, can confirm this?
Are you looking to add the 1LE spoiler without the winglets?

They are somewhat similar. The 1LE spoiler extends over the painted part of the bumper.

Thanks! SSallday,

The 1le make the air flow to the radiators more smooth because is one piece vs the two pieces in the ZL1.

How do you know where cut the bumper? is there any mark on the back of the bumper?

The slots are marked, but not cut on the back. There are four (two per side) marks that are approximately 1" long x 1/8" wide. I used a dremel to rough cut and then a needle file set to finish them. I placed painters tape on the painted front side to minimize the risk of chipping the paint. The slots are covered completely by the dive planes, so a perfect job isn't necessary.

ZLE's front spoiler looks bigger because cover the whole central part making it more smooth.

Does anyone has painted the ZLE front spoiler in Mosaic Black? I do not like to have a mix of satin and gloss parts

I guess it’s not impossible but it might look a bit funny. The winglets are not going to sit flush with the edge of the spoiler. The edges on the 1LE spoiler are molded to match up perfectly with the winglets. They will probably fall off if you glue them. I’m not sure if the 1LE spoiler is compatible with the ZL1 grille. You might have to trim some tabs off the 1LE spoiler or buy the 1LE grille.

Here’s a thread with some additional info on the process.

You can add the dive planes if you cut the slots and install the ZL1 1LE bezels, but you will lose the fog lights.

Edit: You can't install the front spoiler winglets from the 1LE to the ZL1.

Thanks Bad Mojo,

At the end I will go with change of look except the dive plane for know.

So I did a lot of research on parts sites and at the endd the cheapest is Jim Ellis Buick GMC Mall of GA

The total cost including shipping to Miami and taxes is $ 480 for the

Lower Grill
Lower Spoiler
Spoiler Winglets

For clips I found 50 pieces for $16 in Ebay. The seller is greatvintagetoyz

I hope this helps

So far only oempartsouce.com and gmpartsnow.com are the "dealers" that did not cancel my orders, once they realized that shipping the lip is more than $50, Theirs excuses to cancel my order are all the same "the part is not available".

gmpartsnow.com has a 50% shipping rebate if the order is above $299

For those who are interested in adding the front spoiler, the winglets uses 6 bolts and 6 nuts, each one are $3,5 plus shipping.

For the bolts www.clipsandfasteners.com are very cheap, I did buy from their web but from amazon 25 bolts for $12 shipped
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For the nuts I got this alternative in Ebay 10 nuts for $17 shipped

I have a question that follows the OP. For all those that have bought the 1LE splitter and the lower grill (bezel and dive planes). Could you have modified the ZL1's grill to work with the 1LE splitter? I ask this because I'd rather keep my ZL1 grill that matches the upper flow tie grill. Also, I don't like wasting 250 bucks or whatever it is when all I have to do is carefully make a few little slits so the 1LE splitter would fit correctly. I thought about keeping my original bezel (just to be unique) by making the 2 slits in the original bezel to house the dive planes. So, OP or anybody else that has made this jump, Now that you already have seen the splitter and held it in your hands, do you believe you could have modified your ZL1 lower grille correctly?
